“Celebrating every shade of womanhood”

18 March 2025, On the occasion of International Women’s day, Streebandhu Fedaration of Nyamathi and Ganjinahalli with the collaboration of The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society Shivamogga® organized “Chaitanya Anna” serving food for the hungry at the premises of government hospital Nyamathi. Food was served for the poor accompanying the patients, helpers and the public.

In this program, Dr. Menasinakai, the medical officer of Nyamathi Government Hospital, the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Matthew, Yesu Rakshaka Church Honnali, the Moulvi and the leader Nayeem Raza and the Hindu religious guru Jayalinga Swamiji inaugurated the programme by distributing food. Addressing the program, all appreciated service oriented programme for the poor and hungry by the Federation of Self Help Groups.

Rev. Fr Pius D'Souza, the director of SMSSS, is the inspiration behind this innovative program. Addressing the program, he said that feeding the hungry is a noble act and that no one should go hungry. He wished them well and said that it is a good act that the federations are continuing this programme in Nyamati and people are utilizing it.

Mr Shanmukha Naik, Coordinator of SMSSS, animators Lilly Lopis, Radha, Jayasheela, Gayatri, office bearers of Nyamati and Ganjeenahalli federation, and volunteers were present in the programme.
