Chaitanya, May 27, 2019: Shimoga I, Shimoga II and Chitradurga and Davanagere Region: Regional meeting of Save A Family Plan of all the three regions was held on 27 May 2019 at Chaitanya. There were 147 participants. Rev. Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto, the director of SMSSS was the Resource person of the day. He spoke on the various possibility of increasing the income of the family by taking up various income generating programmes (IGPs). Only with interest, commitment and desire to achieve something one can make a big difference in once life. Through the examples of various successful personalities outside of SAFP and also successful IGPs from within SAFP beneficiaries the participants were motivated to strictly abide by the requirements of the programme and continue the IGP which they have selected while approving their application for support. He said that some of our partner families are fully involved in IGPs and are receiving good profit from their IGPs and there is a lot of improvement in their family life. He also highlighted on the personal values each one should cultivate in one's life and become a motivation for others. The session was very much motivating. Everyone was made to introspect on their own activity and involvement in the programme.
After the talk a few of the partner families shared their opinion on how they are benefitting from their IGPs. Towards the end of the meeting the Coordinator of the programme, Sr Premalatha UFS gave some useful tips to make the programme more beneficial and successful. She also stressed on the need to follow the rules and regulations of the programme strictly so that the donors are happy and satisfied. The participants expressed their gratitude for supporting them through this programme.
