The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society (SMSSS) successfully organized a one-day camp for parents and children as part of the Integrated Child Development Programme (ICDP) in Thirthahalli. This event aimed to raise awareness about parenting, child development, and community involvement, attracting 55 children and 53 parents.

The dais featured Fr. Pius D'Souza, the Director of SMSSS, Mr. Shanmukha, the project coordinator, and other dignitaries. Ms. Priya D'Souza extended a warm welcome to all attendees, and the program commenced with an inter-religious prayer led by the children. Mrs. Lucy and Mrs. Rashmi creatively prepared for the inauguration.

Fr. Pius D'Souza spoke to the parents about their responsibilities towards their children, the importance of saving one rupee daily, the need for counseling for both parents and children, and emphasized the value of building strong relationships with ICDP staff.

Mr. Shanmukha conducted a session focused on instilling self-confidence in parents and their role in creating a bright future for their children, concluding with a video presentation on self-confidence.

Parents expressed their satisfaction with the camp experience following the session. Mrs. Grace and Mrs Anitha organized enjoyable games and lively action songs for the children, contributing to a delightful day.

Mr. Madhusudhan concluded the program by delivering a vote of thanks.
