The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society successfully conducted a one-day camp under the Integrated Child Development Programme -ICDP at Davangere. This event aimed to raise awareness about parenting, child development, and community engagement, attracting 120 children and 120 parents.
The program began with a warm welcome from Ms. Jennifer, who introduced the guests and resource persons. Ms. Vijayalaxmi led the inauguration with a creative and engaging opening, setting a positive tone for the day.
Mr. Jagadeesh K.H., the project coordinator, delivered an insightful session on the impact of parental behavior on children’s development. He emphasized the importance of saving, suggesting that parents save just one rupee daily. The session concluded with a motivational video focused on building self-confidence in children and parents.
Mrs. Annie, the ICDP coordinator, addressed the children, highlighting the importance of character development. She encouraged them to be helpful to others and to aspire for higher goals, fostering a sense of purpose and community responsibility.
Mrs. Grace organized a series of fun games and action songs that kept the children actively engaged throughout the day. The children participated enthusiastically, showcasing their energy and excitement, which contributed to an enjoyable atmosphere.
