Disha Quiz level – I : “ Parish level Quiz Competiton”

A parish level quiz competition was held throughout the diocese of Shimoga on 16th of September 2012 . The quiz was conducted for different sections of students from 5th standard to Degree and above students with the age limit of 25years.The divisions were as follows :

1. 5th standard to 7th standard, it was called “Navodaya”.
2. 8th standard to 10th standard, it was called “ Chinthana”
3. For PUC students, it was called “Manthana”.
4. For Degree and above students , it was called “ Spandana”

It was conducted simultaneously at a time, with the help of Disha Volunteers in their respective parishes. The main content of the quiz was current affairs and the related subject matter of their studies in par with their academic subjects covered in the schools. The question papers were set by the Disha core team of SMSSS and then circulated in time to all the parishes. Approximately 1630 students throughout the diocese participated in it and thus it was a grand success. The top five from each section will be eligible for the deanery level quiz competition which will be held on 11th of November 2012 in Deanery centers.

The top five from each section of the deanery quiz competition will be eligible for the Diocese level quiz competition which will be held in the month of  January , 2013 at SMSSS, Chaitnya.
