The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society has taken a forward-thinking approach to revolutionizing classroom teaching with a pioneering workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Held on January 11, 2025, at Sacred Heart PU College, Shimoga, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 50 principals, institutional heads, technical staff, and teachers. The workshop was organized by the Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society (SMSSS) and Mount Carmel Education Society (MCES), with collaboration from Canara Communication Centre, Mangalore, and AI Lumina.

The workshop featured sessions by distinguished AI experts Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes and Mr. Leo Victor Zalki, who provided practical insights and tools for educators. The topics covered included adaptive learning, ethical AI usage, data-driven teaching strategies, and more.

 

 

 

 

Participants engaged in hands-on sessions exploring various AI tools designed for education. The workshop was lauded as a resounding success, equipping educators with valuable resources to integrate AI into their teaching methodologies. Alice Samuel, one of the participants, praised the workshop for its transformative impact, highlighting the newfound confidence it gave her to create digital content for her school.

This initiative underscores the Shimoga Diocese Education Society's commitment to preparing its institutions for a future where technology and values coexist harmoniously, ensuring exceptional education for all students.
